O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife,
Who more than self their country loved,
And mercy more than life!

And in other news,
as I sat in my sunroom
writing this post,
I noticed a sparrows' nest
in the hollow of the tree
just outside my home.
The babies are chirping
and their mother is diligently
going back and forth from the nest
to feed them.
It's kind of cool.
